This article is all about smoking and singing. The vocal folds are folds are sheathed when not in use, so as long as you don’t speak or sing while exhaling smoke, you won’t do much direct damage to them. The biggest effect of smoking on the singing voice is a drastic loss of lung capacity. The primary issue of tar in the lungs is that the nicotine deadens the cillia in the bronchioles and bronchial passages. These tiny, finger-shaped bits of tissue serve two purposes: they increase the surface area of the bronchioles, allowing more oxygen to pass through to the capillaries behind them. Under normal circumstances, they also sway gently back and forth to move the mucous and phlegm around, preventing things from getting clogged up in there. Nicotine deadens the cilia, allowing tar and phlegm to coat them.

This congestion reduces lung capacity. It also reduces the body’s ability to guage and react to irritation from smoke. In the morning, after not having had a dose of nicotine for eight hours, the cilia begin to awaken and sway again, moving all the stuff around. This is what causes “smoker’s cough,” the only effective cure for which, is of all things, a cigarette to deaden the cillia again. The cough, of course, irritates the vocal mechanism, and that’s a problem, too. So, I don’t recommend smoking, and if you are a singer who smokes, I do recommend quitting. Barring that, though, understanding the effects is the next best thing.

I believe that private singing lessons is both a fun and rewarding activity for all, both young and old. I do not believe that private singing lessons is a necessity, but I do believe that it is a great idea to anyone wanting to pursue vocal performance, or just singing for fun.

I am very passionate about singing and have been doing it for many years for my local church. I have not personally had private singing lessons, but I have practiced in private a whole lot. I love singing and feel that if you get with the right teacher private singing lessons can be very beneficial and can take you a long way in the musical world. Singing lessons for kids (courtenay comox included) are often thought of as useless because their voices change as they mature.  There are teachers that believe by training people how their voices work, They can be able to  teach them how to sing.

It is also important, when giving singing lessons for kids (courtenay comox included), that one teaches them to breathe from the diaphragm rather than the chest; this is the first rule of singing. A singing teacher will also, when giving vocal music instructions, work with the kids to help them develop the muscles around their vocal cords so that they can use them better as their voices develop through puberty and beyond. So have you ever thought about taking singing lessons in New York? The state offers a lot of different places for you to take singing lessons at . Most places in the state charge you a fairly reasonable price for taking singing lessons in general. This great news for an aspiring singer or vocalist. Who wants to learn how to sing.

I was good in dancing so my mother asked me to start getting beginners singing lessons. These lessons have helped me a lot as I came near to music because of it. It’s difficult to get in to music world so I suggest beginners to start with getting beginners singing lessons.

I started with learning harmonium. Harmonium is used in classical singing. I was not able to pronounce some of the words properly. My tutor has worked hard to let me learn the basics of singing. Singing is actually producing sounds through voice. My voice was very rough so my tutor helped me to make it more melodious which helped me a lot.

I have gathered confidence in singing with the help of my tutor’s and because of beginners singing lessons. Right now my voice is melodious. My melodious voice make me dance well. Thanks to my mother who inspired me to learn singing.

There are a lot of tips to sing better that would help you out. One tip to sing better is when you are performing for an audience make sure that you actually connect with your audience. Don’t just stare into outer space, make eye contact with your audience and include them in your singing.

Maybe invite them to sing along with you. Another tip to sing better would be to always make sure that you show up prepared and ready to sing. Make sure you have practiced a lot, and know all the words to your songs. You don’t want to be embarrassed by a simple mistake. The following is a discussion on the experience of taking singing lessons in Houston. We first learned the art of breath control and the vowel being the vehicle of sound. Italian is a perfect example of pure vowel sounds to create a good even and smooth sound. A simple exercise of a C major scale was used on an “A” (ah) vowel and incrementally went up by half steps.

These singing lessons in Houston went on for several weeks at the rate of one hour per week. Soon it was time to learn a simple Italian song written at a time when “Bel Canto” (beautiful singing)was taught. After working on “Caro Mio Ben” for several lessons I was beginning to become more comfortable and was able to build stamina. All as a result from taking singing lessons in Houston.

Everybody has their own special singing vocal technique! But I will share with you a few that I think could be very helpful. One simple singing vocal technique that helps a lot of people is you might want to soften your voice to an almost whisper to give your voice that soft breathy sound.

Another simple singing vocal technique is if you want your voice to have that sexy growl sound, then you might want to try to practice the sounds of a cats meow. One more singing vocal technique that you might consider would be to experiment with the placement of your tongue or the shape your mouth is making when you sing.

As you can see there are many different vocal techniques that you could try out, hope these were of some help!

One of the most important tips for voice is to use your air correctly. Not only will incorrect air usage cause you to run out of breath, it will also lead to bad tone quality and bad pitch. This is why proper air usage is one of the most important tips for voice. When you breathe, you need to think of using your diaphragm. Your diaphragm is a muscle in the lower part of your stomach, just above your pelvis.

When you breathe, think of pushing your diaphragm down (further towards your pelvis) to make room for all that air you are taking in. Also think about expanding your lungs and back. Another of the most important tips for voice is to always remain calm and not tense up. It’s easy to focus on deep breathing to the point where you forget that it’s supposed to be easy and natural.

Some easy voice lessons tips to improve the quality of your lessons are knowing exactly what you want to work on. What types of music are you interested in singing? Do you want to become immersed in the culture of pop music or is singing in the opera more of your cup of tea?

Can singing help you feel better? You bet it can! I have sung for most of my life and find it can really lift my spirits. Can singing help other people, too? This should go without saying as people flock to see their favorite performers or just go out to hear some good music, even if that person can’t sing. There just seems to be something about music that gets to most people.

Can singing help you make a living? Well, take it from a person who occasionally does this. It’s not easy. It all depends on a lot of luck, a lot of push , determination, drive and what the people in the area like for music.

I heartily recommend coffee houses to get your foot in the door. If you truly enjoy singing ,and especially in front of people, you can do this.

Here are a couple of  voice recording tips you can pu tot use right away. Use these to make the process much easier.

If you’re thinking about music production, there are a few paramount voice recording tips you’ll need to guarantee good results. The first thing you can do is to make sure you have a solid technical standpoint. This means a recording device / microphone that will ensure a quality sound. Make sure that the distance from the microphone is always correct, and the volume levels on your recording software/technology are correct.

Beyond the technical standpoint, you need to have your voice in good condition. This means proper enunciation, strong tone, a unique style, and an ability to truly understand the music at hand.

Be aware of your breathing and never forget that the art of voice recording is always enhanced by persistence and a strong attention to detail. This means you may have to re-record if you’re not satisfied with the results.

Sometimes you can just feel the  singing lessons in the air. You  just can’t get away from them. There are a few things you will want to consider before you  begin singing. These will be especially true of you want become famous for your singing.

Its like saying you want to be a pilot but you are afraid of heights. Or does he just think its cool to be in a band and maybe he can handle it when he’s a star. What is his deal? What does he want to do? Can he sing? if he can let him know it, record it, and play it to him, compare it to others.

If he can not sing, then he needs to practice a ton. People who know they can sing well do not really get much stage fright. And when they do…all they have to do is remember what it is they want to do, what it is they know and can already do, and maybe take some relaxing deep breaths and meditate or stretch if its showtime. Other than that, its time to sit on a couch and talk to a therapist.

The following is  how to learn how to sing.

Notes can be reached with confidence if correct breathing is used for projection. There is much less chance of wandering out of key if done this way. Vibrato can be achieved with projection, and then breathing the sound at the end of the word, rather than holding the note. Vibrato is not achieved by pushing the stomach area or by jaw movement. It is achieved freely and naturally. With practice, you can pop the breathing in and out ever so quickly to make a great sounding vibrato. Notes will then sound more musical and take on a professional sound.

After practicing and feeling more fluid with the voice, play the song required, and turn on the recording machine. Sing along to the end, and then listen to the playback. If the vocals or the singer on the music is too loud and drowning the other out, adjust for a better all round mix. (Turn down the mic volume, or the volume on the song). Sing along again, and then listen. If the mix is fine with your vocals just above the singer on the music, go for a ‘take.’ Listen to the playback carefully and write down all the words that sound wrong. Play the song without recording your vocals this time, and concentrate on those wrong sounding words. Listen carefully to the singer and after repeating the song until you feel you have it properly in your head, record yourself again. Most important just be you Playback and check for your progress. You can repeat this until you have got it right.

Do not practice the whole song whilst making mistakes on words thinking you can learn them later, or you will have a barrier on those words and will find it much harder to alter the way you sing them. Learn to wiggle in a word to make it sound more interesting, but stay within the key. It is similar to singing harmonies when other notes can be sung in conjunction with the main note. Experiment! The use of a recorder to check if you are singing in key, is the best way to learn how to stay in pitch and will show up any mistakes before you are stuck with them. If you are not tone deaf, you will progress very quickly with this method. Correct breathing and confidence makes a good singer. Technique and fluidity in going up or down a scale to the highest and lowest edge of the vocals, makes an excellent singer. Practice daily and there is no reason not to sound like some of the best! Your vocal is also a muscle. Remember to always do a lip roll to cool down you vocal after singing.

The following is  how to learn how to sing.

To sing well, you need to practice the throat opening and breathing exercises daily. Throat opening exercise will enables you to sing with less strain, and breathing exercise will allow you to sing from the diaphragm, which will give you a powerful singing voice. It is also a good idea to practice singing with piano scales to train your ears. Choose a good singer to sing along with (Preferably your favorite singer). One that you like the style of. While you may want to sound like a certain singer, always remember that you have your own voice. You can learn improper techniques by trying to sound just like your favorite singer.

Always stand up to sing, it allows more air into the lungs. Remember to keep stopping to have water. Do a vocal warm up before singing. Like any muscle in your body, your vocal also need to be stretched before singing. This way you can prevent vocal damage while singing. You can warm up your vocal by doing the lip roll exercise with piano scales or replace the song lyrics with the lip roll. When doing lip roll keep the jaw relaxed and lips closed and try to make a motor boat sound. When doing lip roll try to keep your stomach relaxed and don’t push, just let the sound flow out. Before playing and recording your effort along with the song, loosen your vocal chords by singing the do re mi fa so la ti do scale. Sing a song you already know well and project your voice.

To project, imagine you are singing to people at the back of a hall. You want them to hear you. To make the voice louder without screaming whilst singing, push down with your tummy muscles and the voice will be stronger. This will take practice, but is worth the effort. Strength is needed (using the tummy muscles) in the last words of sentences, as they must be cut off and not phased out weakly with the lack of breath. It is always possible to use tummy muscles to exhale that last bit of air needed to finish the sentence.

The following is set to help you with singing voice exercises.There are two things that are crucial if you want to learn to sing at your best. If you can do both of these things (and it’s not too difficult) you will experience your best singing voice. You will be able to sing in a large range, with ease, and a rich tone quality. What are these two things? The first thing is: the vocal cord exercises that you practice. With the wrong exercises you will not get the results you’re after. In fact, with bad vocal cord exercises you are likely to develop bad habits that will make singing a painful, miserable experience! Learning to sing well is a process of developing a good technique, and then reaffirming that technique so it gets imprinted into your system. When you do this you will find singing easy and effortless.

If the vocal exercises don’t encourage this good technique though, you will imprint these bad habits into your neurological system, which will reaffirm these habits and make it a permanent part of your singing. This is not what you want! Ok, so the first thing you need to learn how to be a great singer, is exercises that can “imprint” this correct technique into your system. In a moment I’ll show you what exercises can do this for you. But first, let’s look at the second thing you need to do to perfect your singing. Once you are practicing good vocal cord exercises, you need to memorize the sensations that you feel when you practice.

As I said earlier, a great singer has “good singing technique” imprinted into their neurological system. This happens because when they practice, they pay attention to the sensations that occur when they sing well. This is how you navigate your voice when you sing. For example, what if I showed you how to hit an “A above high C”. This is a fairly high note. Many singers would struggle to hit it effortlessly. But if I showed you the trick to hitting this note, and you practiced it while paying attention to how it felt, do you think you could continue hitting this note whenever you desired? Of course you could!

So there… the second thing you need to do (once you have the good vocal cord exercises) is pay attention to how it feels to sing with good technique. When you do this you will become more and more aware of what it feels like to sing perfectly. You will “imprint” this great new technique permanently into your neurological system. And once this has happened, nothing can stop you! The spoils of singing correctly are massive. A large vocal range that has power and depth Effortless tone production The ability to sing loudly and freely for hours on end Angelic tone quality The only way to understand the benefit of “imprinting” great vocal technique into your system is to actually experience it for yourself. The missing link is the exercises that encourage proper vocal technique. Fortunately once you find the right vocal cord exercises, everything falls into place easily. The unfortunate thing is that there is many ineffective teachers and instruction our there, so be wary! If you can find a teacher that knows what they’re doing, embrace them and your voice will thank you for it.

Not everyone who has a nice voice can sing like a pro. Talent is most definitely the prime requirement but it is not the only qualification of becoming a professional. Hard work, determination, focus, commitment and an immense amount of training is required by anyone who dreams to sing like a pro. There are many vocal exercises and techniques available which enable one to sing like a pro increasing one’s fineness and quality of the voice, allowing one to increase the vocal range.

There are many courses and teachers available teaching one to groom his/her voice to the maximum possible extent. Many websites have dedicated part of their contents on tips on how to sing like a pro. However, merely surfing through these websites does not help. One has to dedicate him/herself to learning to sing without any compromise on commitment and passion.

There are many careers in singing one could take.Or ways to earna living although the wages vary considerably depending on style, experience, competence and the performers popularity. A singer may earn anything between nothing to $30.00 an hour and upwards. Latest average rates are usually available from organizations like the Musicians Union. Whilst many performers are happy to sing for pleasure rather than pay it is always nice to be paid for something that you enjoy doing. The following information is a guide to various types of vocal styles plus singing and voice related job opportunities. Competition is high, therefore any singer needs to be proficient and the majority of experienced singers will diversify by performing a variety of musical styles depending on their vocal capabilities and educational training.

For many singers, live performance is a secondary form of income. Other types of jobs available in the music industry and information on self-employment is available in the Music Careers section at the Electric Blues Club. Acappella, Acappella is the term used for singing without the aid of accompaniment and takes far more skill than the listeners realize. All styles of music can be performed in this manner, (although some are more suited than others) and artists must be extremely competent to be able to start (and stay) on pitch, in time and where applicable, harmonize in exact tandem with their fellow singers. Blues Singer Blues has been a huge influence on modern music with artists like the Rolling Stones, Led Zepplin, Eric Clapton and Gary Moore combining the old style feel with a rock edge.

Whilst there will always be heated discussion on the validity of modern blues compared to the old style, blues music still continues to be popular with established circuits throughout Europe and the USA. Personally I feel that whilst the basics can be learnt by anyone, a true ‘Blues’ singer is one who has a full life experience usually filled with tragedy and hardship!! A full time career is possible although many performers combine their love of the blues with a second source of income.This is all for careers in singing for today!

Don’t launch into songs with high passages, warm up gradually with vocal exercises before getting to work with the band. Rehearse in a smoke-free atmosphere too. Make it a rule that no one smokes except during coffee breaks if they must! Once you have a secure vocal technique you will find that an occasional rest, whether enforced or by choice, will do you do harm whatsoever.

When your technique is really reliable you will be able to rehearse through most ordinary colds; only a throat infection will stop you. The main problem with trying to work though a cold is that one doesn’t honestly feel like singing. It is hard work drawing the breath in and finding the energy to give the sound the necessary muscular support and it is then, when the diaphragm doesn’t want to expand, and the lower abdominal muscles go on strike, that the throat takes the strain!

So, honestly, you’ll progress more quickly If you relax and concentrate on getting better rather than struggling on regardless. Once you are loosened up, sing a few word phrases starting with ‘Bella Signora’ and really make the windows rattle with the power and the length of that top note. I chose Italian words because the vowels are all pure and open, no diphthongs, and it is somehow easier to overact on such an operatic phrase! One of my students told me that people stopped in the street to listen when he was singing this exercise in his front room! Enjoy singing, and other people enjoy it too.

By improving one’s vocal range slowly through singing exercises instead of pushing oneself to sing high notes suddenly, a person can gradually increase their range. Finally, singing high notes will take time. Each singer has a different type of vocal cord and depending on how short or long one’s vocal cords are, will depend on how quickly or easily one will be able to increase range. Vocal:

Vocal range is the measure of the breadth of pitches that a human voice can phonate. Although the study of vocal range has little practical application in terms of speech, it is a topic of study within linguistics, phonetics, and speech and language pathology; particularly in relation to the study of tonal languages and certain types of vocal disorders. However, the most common application of the term vocal range is within the context of singing where it is used as one of the major defining characteristics for classifying singing voices into groups known as voice types.

The following are the general vocal ranges associated with each voice type using scientific pitch notation where middle C=C4. Some singers within these voice types may be able to sing somewhat higher or lower[1]:

•    Soprano: C4 – C6

•    Mezzo-soprano: A3 – A5

•    Contralto: F3 – F5

•    Tenor: C3 – C5

•    Baritone: F2 – F4

•    Bass / Basso: E2 – E4

Music lessons are a type of formal instruction in playing a musical instrument or singing. Typically, a student taking music lessons meets a music teacher for one-on-one training sessions ranging from 30 minutes to one hour in length over a period of weeks or years. For vocal lessons, teachers show students how to sit or stand and breathe, and how to position the head, chest, and mouth for good vocal tone. For instrument lessons, teachers show students how to sit or stand with the instrument, how to hold the instrument, and how to manipulate the fingers and other body parts to produce tones and sounds from the instrument. Music teachers also assign technical exercises, musical pieces, and other activities to help the students improve their musical skills. Music:Music imbeds our daily life, weaving its beauty and emotion through our thoughts, activities and memories. For much of the world, music is a language, but for me it is something that I consumed passively.

Research has shown that music has a profound effect on your body and psyche. In fact, there is a growing field of health care known as Music Therapy, which uses music to heal. Those who practice music therapy are finding a benefit in using music to help cancer patients, children with ADD, and others, and even hospitals are beginning to use music and music therapy to help with pain management, to help ward off depression, to promote movement, to calm patients, to ease muscle tension, and for many other benefits that music and music therapy can bring. This is not surprising, as music affects the body and mind in many powerful ways.

It is very common for singers to use the muscles outside their voice box to try and mould the notes. This causes a lot of tension, and as the singer climbs in range, it becomes more difficult. A person will never be able to use their full vocal range in this manner.

Speech level singing aims to correct this problem by training the inner voice box muscles to produce the notes which are more effective controlling the notes. This means that the voice box can be relaxed, just like in speech. As the singer changes pitch, the inner voice box muscles control the tightness of the vocal chords, adjusting them to vibrate at the correct frequency producing a note.

Improve your ability to sing. Breath control is the one of the factors in singing. The act of singing starts from deep inside your diaphragm, which then pushes air out through the vocal chords. If any part of you is not relaxed, performance can be impaired. The muscles which control the larynx need to be relaxed in order to find a better vocal range. Any tensions in the neck, shoulders or chest will cause airflow to be constricted, and therefore affect how sound is projected.

Success may come or may not come, do your work. Your practice before singing is the best way to success. Be inspired by the artists you like listening to the most. These are just some basic singing voice tips. Watch legends singing before you sing. Get some tips from their singing. First, a good number of vocal chord problems can be prevented by warming up properly. Warm-up exercises will increase the blood flow to the vocal chords and reduce vocal tension. You would not run ten miles without warming up, so do not try to sing through a challenging repertoire without some exercises.

You can start by humming. Also make sure to cool down! Move from your highest notes to your lowest notes, and then to your vocal fry (the first noise you make when you wake up). Stay relaxed.

Another means of preventing vocal chord problems is to use a slight Irish accent as you sing. It keeps your mouth narrow and relaxed, allowing muscles that interfere with singing to remain still without strain.

First, you will need “the will”. Without “the will” to want to sing good, all of your efforts will be wasted.So if you start this saying, “I will only go so far”. Then you have already lost the battle. So you should think , “I am gonna do this and I will stick with it until I do!”. That’s how a winner thinks. You can do that for yourself with needing vocal lessons.

Secondly, time will be needed. You can have the will, but if you don’t have time then it’s pointless. So you will need to pick a convenient time to practice so you can sing well. Pick a block of time from 45 minutes to an hour to practice. You can do this 2 to 3 times a week. I would recommend more if possible.

You  should never  go without sleep. If you want to sound your best then you will have to be fully rested. This is so you can pay full attention to how you sound and compose yourself while singing.

It is extremely important that you relax as much as possible. Stress is a major  burden when singing. This will cause your vocal chords to  tighten up and make it much more difficult to sing.

You will need to eat at least an hour before singing. If you eat right  before this will inhibit your vocal abilities. Meaning it will be even harder to  practice  your vocal music lessons.

Before you even burst one note you should always warm up. If you do not then you are putting your  voice at risk of major, sometimes irreversible, damage.

In the same  line ,singers should never  smoke this can also have the same effect on your voice. Once you lose your voice , it can be difficult or even impossible to get it back. This has been vocal music lessons information.

- Add I don’t think it necessary to learn an instrument first. i think it would be beneficial to your voice. It can help you learn how to get a feel for the music more. You will learn about notes and how the properly go together. So it definitely couldn’t hurt.

First,pick a song that  is easy to learn.It helps if the song is already familiar to you.

Stick to songs that have a simple structure. For example, the song can start off with a verse then go to  a chorus then verse then chorus again. Pop songs are great for simple song structure. This makes it easier to sing along and learn quickly.

NEVER pick a song you have never heard before to begin to learn how to sing songs.

It is strongly recommended once you learn the song.Record yourself and listen to it. Try to see where you can improve somehow. This will save you a lot of potential embarrassment in front of a crowd.

Practice the song over and over until you know it by heart.  Then you are ready sing it with friends.

It is important that you crawl before you walk. You will want to learn the basics of singing and how your own voice works first. This will require you learn how to breathe correctly, have proper posture, and develop a little stage prescene.

There are several things that  can help you when  it comes to singing rock music. You will want to figure out what  kind of rock music you want to sing. There are bands like KISS that have a very particular style. Then are other bands like U2. So you need to sit back and take a serious assessment of your particular style of interest.

As soon as you find it, then do whatever you can to surround yourself with that  particular style. Watch and listen to videos of it on Youtube or other video sites (it’s free and a great way to see professionals at work).   Pay attention to how they move  their bodies and mouths. See if you can pick up on their breathing techniques as well.

As you start to learn how to sing rock music, decide on how you can incorporate what you see into your own personal style. In the end, what makes a true rock star/singer is the impression the voice leaves on them.

There are many tips and tricks on how to  get your voice to sing higher. Some require you open your mouth more. Others say relax your throat muscles and so on. These are great pieces of advice but  aren’t necessarily needed.

When you want  to sing higher you need to put two things out of your mind. Foremost, forget about trying to hit a certain note. Secondly, forget about trying to sound good. Whenever you are trying something new you are not always going to get it the first time.

Instead try to naturally go for those notes.When you sense yourself straining or something off with your body stop. Notice what happens when you try to hit those notes. Then try again without resorting to those tactics. This is the beginning of how to sing higher.

The first thing you should know is to never compare your singing to anyone. This is because we all have  a different voice. Voices are unique just like faces. You have to find your voice. In order to find it you must take a listen to yourself. So record yourself and listen back to it.

There are a few essential things you will need in order to sing properly. One is  plenty of water. Not just any water but  room temperature water. Make sure to drink plenty of this before singing. This will give your vocal chords the care and strength they need to perform.

You will also want to practice warming up. You can start off with simple warm up like the following:

Go through that one time. Then  go through it  again raising your voice pitch just a little. This will allow you to stretch out your vocals. It’s vital that you warm up everytime before you sing. Foremost, You should record your voice to get a realistic view of  how you truly sound. It’s hard to improve when you  don’t know where to start. There are  several ways to  record your voice.  You can do it by phone. Most  cellphones have a recorder on them.

You can also get a mic for your computer. Then if you have “Windows”(software) go to start.

First, start off by  going “ahhhh”.Then say the following while having your chest  out and back straight. Just  say “No….Nu…. Ni… Ne”

(It should  sound like No -new-Knee-Nay)

You should be going up an octave (i.e. pitch or level) each time. Do this  about 5 to 8 times before moving on to the next one. This is suppose to help  with relaxing your  tongue and jaw for  singing.

Then try, “A…. E…A…O” (It should sound like  ahhh-e-ahhh–ooo)

Do this  5 to 8 times as well. Make sure to relax your jaw!

Just doing these two alone before a performance will get you  ready to  perform at your optimal peak.  At the end of the day it’s all about exercises  to improve your singing. These will allow you to  build more confidence when you perform because you will be more comfortable.

First, you will need to learn the basics of singing to begin with. You can do this by surfing around online.
Though I recommend starting with something more simple like joining a church choir or community glee club.  You  could also  do the standard method, and seek a vocal teacher for private  or group lessons. If  you live near college or high school they can normally recommend a few.

Then, once you have learned the basics of singing. You  should learn a foreign language  such as French, German,  or Italian. This is mainly because most opera is performed in one of these languages. Even simply studying  English can be a great help to you when learning how to sing opera.

Another strong recommendation is to listen to the great singers and study them. For the men , it would be Luciano Pavarotti or Placido Domingo . For the women it could be Joan Sutherland or Marilyn Horne. They have sung opera  for years! By simply listening to them and studying their performances one can learn a great deal. This should set you on your way to learning how to sing opera starting today.

Singing properly is important, if you don’t then you could majorly  damage your  vocal cords or possibly faint.This is how serious it is.  So take to heart what you read here. It could save you a lot of pain in the future.

You will want to sing from your diaphragm (this is your torso or stomach region). The best way to do this is to have good singing posture. Take a deep  breath not moving your shoulders. Have your back straight  to sit up properly or stand. Have your feet and squarely placed on the ground.You should notice  your stomach moving out when you  breathe.

Have your throat open when singing. When you yawn you will naturally feel your throat open. Just keep this in mind when you are singing and you will sound great. Your chest should be out, shoulders relaxed, and do not tense up your knees.

Start by warming up with something  simple like A-B-C going up a little each time with  each letter. Just repeat this 6 to 8 times until you got the hang of it. You can try Do-Re-Mi. This is all a part of learning how to sing properly or well. photo credit: timsnell

Before you  begin clear your  thoart by drinking a few sips of water. This can tremendously help when learning how to thoart  singing.

First,relax the  muscles of your lips and jaw.Keep mouth open about a quarter inch wide or close to that. Then have your  tounge at the roof of your mouth and as you begin to blow slide it down slowly to  your upper teeth.

Secondly,try wheezing as if you have ran heavily and are trying to catch your breath. Slowly  cover your thoart passage and try to  listen for a faint screeching sound.

You can hollow your thoart, but keep your passgae blocked. Then try to thorat sing a familiar tune until you get used to it. If you can’t think of anything just do “oooo”.

This is guaranteed to be smoother and  sound better  if your thoart is as clear as possible.

The most ideal places for throat singing  are  in a shower room,  in the subway, or in the car This is how to throat sing. Good Luck!

When you are screaming you  should never  use all of the air supply at your disposal  this  will result in injury/damage to your voice.Avoid talking if your voice is strained after practice. You  should never whisper! If you have to talk use your normal talking voice.You  will want to become extremely familiar with head resonance if you want to be a screamer as well.

There are several beverages that  a singer can drink to  build and sustain their voice. One great recommendation is warm diluted squash juice.You can also try warm or room temperature water. You  should always  scream sing  through your nose or nasally. It’s a healthier option then trying to  do it from your throat. Scream singing from your throat will only cause more damage in the end.

Another great piece of advice is to learn your vocal range.This is so you  can work within it. You could be baritone,  mezzo soprano, tenor,etc.

You should remember this will  take  time. So keep practicing you will improve over time. It coud take anywhere from half a year to several years to master this.If you get tired make sure to rest and relax your vocal cords.With these scream singing tips you will be on you way to a  potentially great screaming voice.

First before you even start drink some warm or hot liquids during the day. This will allow for your vocals cords to be  moistened  and set for  singing. You could  choose  hot or warm water, or possibly coffee (with sugar and cream). I don’t recommend milk or anything like that because it puts a coding a on your vocals and makes it harder for you to sing.

Try singing the following vocal exercise at least 7 to 10 times. This will help your voice get into the groove and ready to sing.  Sing: AAAAAEEEEEEOOOOOOUUUU.

It should sound like “ahh-e-oooo-you”

You can also try humming at  different pitches and octaves as way to put yourself into the mindset for singing. Do all of these for at least 15 to 20 minutes.

First, You should invest a generous amount of time studying  your genre of interest. This means listening and paying careful  attention to the style of music you want to sing. The thing you  do not want is to try to sing like an opera singer to an r&b style song. It just doesn’t fit. Study and learn more about  your style of choice and you  will grow your voice to  fit that genre.

You should start breathing from your  diaphragm when you sing. Do not breathe from your lungs. I know that sounds funny ,but when you  are singing this is essential to your performance! Finally,  one of the best tips  that a singer can receive is to record yourself! This  can be a very scary thing for most singers. Everyone seems to have a ideal way  of how they  think they sound. The sooner you listen to your own singing voice the better. As you listen to yourself you can start to work on all of your weak points and make them shine. You  should try the following:

Try singing ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch several times over and over out loud.

Then try  singing: p-p-p-p-p-p-p-p-p-p. When you are  singing this just say the “puff” sound and not “pee”.

Finally  try sh-sh-sh-sh-sh-sh. As  in “shh” to  get someone to be quiet!

Try these simple exercises in a nice pattern daily. You will notice in your singing that  you pronounce and enunciate better. Thus making it easier for you to make great sound with your voice. Theses are great exercises to improve your singing.

First try going “ooo” without the “o” in the beginning. If you are not sure how to do this then simply start doing a frog voice. Then try to go “ooo”. Just do this over and over again. You will notice pain when you first start. This is normal since your voice isn’t used to this yet.

Push a little bit with your chest. You will need your mouth mildly open for this.

Along with this method you should practice on a regular basis singing along to songs that focus on this style of singing. Listen to groups like Opeth or Bloodbath to sing along with. Drink lots of water as well. You can lift your tounge to get different sounds.

Remember stop practicing when you hit the pain. Never ever go pass the pain when practicing this or any other kind singing. You could end up doing major vocal damage from your metal vocal lesson.

Breathing exercises for singing are  essential for  anyone interested in singing on a continual basis. When you learn how to breath correctly  you  can then become a better singer and  use your voice more effectively.

Sit up straight and have your shoulders back with feet squarely planted on the floor.  Relax your shoulders as well.

You should start with simply  breathing in and out deeply. So  inhale in deeply and the  exhale out the same way. Do this a few times to  get your body ready to practice  proper  breathing. To help you further  with this. You should breathe in  for 5 seconds. Then hold it for the same amount of time and then  breathe out again for  5 seconds. Try this  eight or ten times. Once you feel you  can do it for longer try  9 seconds etc.

You can help your breathing when you start to sing  by making sure your torso area (i.e. stomach area) is expanding in all directions when breathing. This  means on the sides , back and  front.  So as you start to  practice breathing deeper for your breathing exercises  for singing notice this. After a while you will notice without even having to try.

- Beibefore you take voice lessons record yourself and see how you sound. I would recommend checking out the free voice lessons on youtube. They can show you the basics of warming up and breathing. Once you get use to practcing this on regular basis record yourself often to mark improvements. Then check out voice lessons. That’s your best bet.

- Add there are actually plenty of exercises one can do by themselves. I would recommend first recording yourself. then try a simple warm up like singing “do, re , mi” about 5 to 10 times. then record it again. listen to it. It will help you start to correct your tone.

If you have the will then you can learn. No says you are going to be the next mariah carey or josh groban. You can just learn to sing comfortably and strong. That’s always progress in my book.

- TaTTaking singing lessons is a great idea. No matter your age or your talent. I would recommend using some free singing courses online first and then working your way to the paid ones. There are plenty of free lessons on youtube.

Warm ups are a great way to stretch and prepare your vocal cords for action. Make sure before you begin to have room temperature water to drink during your warm up! One great way to warm up is to  sing the following out loud to yourself:

Do (pronounced  “dough”)

Re ( pronounced “ray”)

Mi (pronouced “me”)

Fa

So

La

Ti (pronounced “tea”)

Do

Do  this between 8 to 10 times. After this many repetitions your singing voice will start to feel more comfortable.

Now that  you have learned the basic scales, you can use them again and again with other words in their place.Try these singing warm up exercises instead of singing “do re, mi” say the following:

“Hi, He, Ha, Ho, Hu”

“Fluffy Floppy Puppy”

“La, Lo, Le, Lo”

With  these basic warm ups you can are well on your way to  having a  better singing voice and performance. Do these singing warm up exercises for  at least 15 minutes to  feel the  full effect.

How do you tell the good from the bad?  Today you will find out about   three simple test you can perform to tell the good from the bad.

First,what are others saying about it? I do not mean simply reading the testimonials on the sales page. Perform a simple search on google. Search for “(insert product name) review(s)”.If there aren’t any reviews be cautious. If there are several reviews pick three to read and then proceed to the next step.
